About The Course

This course is designed to equip you with the skills, strategies, and confidence to perform implant surgeries seamlessly in your own practice.  By combining essential knowledge with real-world techniques you can put to work right away

 

 This intense 4 day course will give doctors training in the following categories:

  • Evaluate patient candidacy for dental implant treatment through proper case selection

  • CBCT review of scans to analyze anatomical structures and guide implant treatment planning

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments relevant to implant surgery success

  • Apply knowledge of dental anatomy to ensure safe and accurate implant placement

  • Differentiate between implant designs and surface treatments, including the benefits of hydrocarbon removal

  • Perform fundamental implant surgical techniques, including osteotomy preparation and implant placement in both simulation and live-patient scenarios

  • Execute immediate implant placement protocols and utilize custom tissue formers to support esthetic soft tissue outcomes

  • Apply effective suture techniques to ensure optimal wound closure and healing
    Incorporate biological materials such as
    Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and bone marrow aspiration from the Maxillary tuberosity to enhance regenerative outcomes

  • Perform both lateral and crestal sinus augmentation procedures with attention to anatomy and technique

  • Recognize and manage post-operative complications to ensure patient safety and implant success

  • Deliver provisional and final prosthetic restorations with an understanding of restorative workflows

  • Utilize digital dentistry tools such as intraoral scanners and guided surgery software to streamline implant workflows

  • Establish long-term maintenance protocols for monitoring implant health and preventing peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis

  • Translate knowledge and clinical experience into actionable skills that can be implemented immediately in general practice

Course Agenda

Pre-Course

  • Each attendee will receive a series of foundational lectures along with a scheduled Zoom Webinar prior to the course. These lectures serve as a prerequisite to ensure participants have the essential knowledge needed to be fully prepared.

Day 1 - travel day

  • Arrival to SAN airport and transfer to Tijuana, MX

  • Check-in at the Quartz Hotel and Spa

  • Orientation at the MINEC Implant Center

Day 2 - lecture and review

  • Lectures in basic implant surgery and case selection

  • Study model implant and suturing practice

  • CBCT review

  • Advanced technique overview (PRF, guided surgery)

  • Live surgical demonstration by one of the F.I.T. faculty

Day 3 - surgery day

  • 7:30am Shuttle to the MINEC Implant Center

  • 8:00am - Case review and assignment

  • 8:30 - 5:00pm Implant surgery done by participants

Day 4 - surgery day

  • 7:30am Shuttle to the MINEC Implant Center

  • 8:00am Case review and assignment

  • 8:30 - 5:00pm Implant surgery done by participants

Day 5 - surgery day

  • 7:30am Shuttle to the MINEC Implant Center

  • 8:00am Case review and assignment

  • 8:30 - 5:00pm Implant surgery done by participants

  • 5:00 - 6:00pm Full Course Review of All Cases

  • 7:00 - 10:00pm Graduation Dinner

Day 6 - travel day

  • All participants board shuttle to San Diego Airport to depart to their flights home.   All flights will be scheduled before noon to allow everyone ample time and flexibility to choose the best flight for their schedules.
